Statement by A.S.K National Chairperson

Welcoming 2026: A Year of Engagement, Growth and Shared Purpose

As we usher in 2026, I extend my warm New Year greetings to our Members, Partners and Stakeholders. The year ahead presents an important opportunity to deepen engagement, strengthen partnerships and advance the mandate of the Agricultural Society of Kenya through our annual calendar of events and strategic programmes.

The Agricultural Society of Kenya remains anchored on a proud legacy built over decades of service to agriculture, trade and national development. As we enter this new year, we do so guided by our enduring values, a clear strategic direction and a shared commitment to excellence.

Our Focus in 2026

In 2026, the Society will deliver a full calendar of our agricultural shows and trade fairs across the country, providing platforms for innovation, knowledge exchange, agribusiness development and market access. We encourage strong participation from Members, exhibitors, sponsors and partners as we collectively showcase the strength and diversity of Kenya’s agricultural sector.

Our strategic priorities for the year remain aligned to the 2025–2029 Strategic Plan, with focus on:

  • Advancing the development and operationalisation of integrated land use masterplans
  • Addressing outstanding land matters, including special user licences
  • Strengthening governance, transparency and institutional effectiveness
  • Expanding partnerships that enhance the impact of our shows and programmes across agriculture and trade

As we implement our 2026 activities, we remain committed to integrity, inclusivity and collaboration, ensuring that every engagement delivers value to our stakeholders and supports the Society’s long-term vision.

I invite all Members, Branches, Stakeholders and Partners to actively participate in the 2026 ASK events calendar and walk this journey with us throughout the year. Together, we will continue to build on our strong legacy while positioning the Society for sustainable growth and relevance.

Let us embrace 2026 with renewed energy, shared purpose and confidence in the work ahead.
