Mombasa International Show

The Mombasa International Show (M.I.S) was established in 1903 and is situated on the North Coast of the Coastal Resort City of Mombasa. The show is 20kms from the Moi International Airport. M.I.S was elevated in 2002 to an International status to attract investors and players in the agriculture, trade and tourism sectors.

STAND RATES & GATE CHARGES

The branch charges the following rates to exhibitors:

  • Society buildings -Depending on their location and size eg CBD,Periphery
  • Local (owner occupier) – Depending on their location and size eg CBD,Periphery
  • Open space
    1. 15 ft×15ft – Kshs. 100,000
    2. 25ft × 25ft – Kshs. 150,000
    3. 50ft× 50ft – Kshs. 180,000
    4. 75ft × 75ft – Kshs. 250,000
    5. 90ft × 90ft – Kshs. 300,000
  • International (foreign) – USD 150 per m2.

The Central Business District (CBD) charges will be introduced this year whereby the exhibitors allocated stands in the prime and strategic locations next to the arena will be charged higher fees.

EXHIBITOR PROFILE

Potential exhibitors are from the following industries:- Agriculture, Manufacturing, Tourism related Enterprises, Fishing Industry, Banking sector, Import & Export, Transport and communication.

APPLICATION TO PARTICIPATE

All applications for space must be made on the official Application Form and payment for such space must accompany each application. No Booking Shall Be Deemed To Be Final Until Payment For The Allowed Space Has Been Received By The Society.

Exhibitors can sell goods in the bazaar stalls which may be rented at a fee, but orders can be taken on displayed goods for delivery after the Show. Caterers wishing to operate the catering units must ensure that they obtain relevant permits and comply with the government regulations on health and safety standards. International exhibitors wishing to sell their wares should consult their clearing and forwarding agents on customs regulations that govern such temporary imports.
